About me
Colette Kearney is a Painter living and working in County Cavan. In 2025 she opened “Colette‘s Art Studio” in her home village of Mountnugent. In this beautiful Art space Colette has an exhibition area for her work and other local artist’s. There she also runs Art classes for children and adults and has her own studio space.
Having graduated from the “Limerick School of Art & Design” in 2004 Colette has continued to strive forward building a career at the work she absolutely loves. Discontent to settle on one specific area her practice takes in a combination of Mural painting, teaching and Fine Art painting.
Following a stint working with the renowned “JBFX” in Christchurch, New Zealand, Colette returned home to kickstart her own mural painting business, completing projects for both public and private clients, from large to small scale and indoors to outdoors each one completely individual yet familiar in Colette’s recognizable style.
In Colette’s 1st year of Art college in Limerick School of Art & Design , she was introduced to Oil Paints and was immediately hooked, henceforth when deciding on her specialty subject choose Fine Art Painting. Under the direction of Dougal McKenzie and College head Charles Harper, Colette worked diligently developing her craft and receiving “The Revenue Commissioner’s” awards in both Diploma and Degree years for excellence. Her most recent work is based on the Irish Landscape and specifically captured moments of morning and dawn light where the ordinary becomes extraordinary.
